In Wirksworth
Parking (free) is in nearby streets, there is a single yellow line on the road outside the cottage. There is a free car park about 100 metres away, but it is frequently full during school hours. The local private taxis are okay. The cottage is on the bus route between Derby and Bakewell (route code 6.1) there are regular buses throughout the day. Wirksworth is a small town/village with all the usual services, pubs, restaurants and shops. The banks have recently closed (spit) their Branches, but there are ATMs for cash.
What do we do?
We clean the cottage, and swap out linen before each guest visit. In the quiet winter months we undertake maintenance.
What do you do?
You are on holiday on the edge of the Peak District! Enjoy loads of out door activities and visit historic properties. We do ask you to keep the cottage clean and tidy. On collection days please put out the rubbish for collection.
